Kate Hudson looked stunning in that fitted white Versace gown at the Golden Globes. Athletic, toned, absolutely sunning. She has one of the most impressive bodies in Hollywood and she shared recently that consistency really is the key.
"I'm a big believer in doing 20 minutes of exercise a day," she tells Sunday Times Style magazine. "I wouldn't say [I work out] a lot, just consistently.
People think for some reason you have to work out for two and a half hours but, it can be little. It can be 20 minutes, it could be 40 minutes." The perfect amount of time to do a Studio Pilates class there Kate!
She recommends skipping with a rope "because it's one of the hardest cardio exercises you can do, but it's so easy. I do three sets of three minutes; I'm always shocked at how sweaty I get."
Discipline is key. "You can't do like two weeks and go like do two days and then take a week off and then do three days and then go, 'Why aren't I seeing results? I don't get it.' You know, you just got to do it - sad, like anything else in life!"
She also runs a mile three times a week, followed by a Pilates class for an hour on the reformer. On off days, she does yoga or a spin class. She's a fan of Soul Cycle in particular. With her dance background she tells Glamour UK that it's all about focusing on the core; along with Pilates and yoga she also recommends barre ballet and Tracy Anderson to elongate and strengthen.
Food-wise she aims for 1,800 calories a day using the app MyFitnessPal to keep track. "I got obsessed with it, because knowledge is power," she told Shape magazine recently.
It seems like it sure is working for you Kate. Keep it up, you look amazing!
