You would think that with today's fast paced world, people would become more and more active in an attempt to keep up. The reality is in fact the opposite. Technology has made great advancements in our world, however it has also presented numerous shortcuts which has made much of the human population less active. People can now do all their shopping on the internet, walking is almost non-existent due to cars being used to travel everywhere, remote controls prevent people from ever leaving the couch, and computer games and television inhibit both children and adults from playing outside. Basically, not a lot of energy is used by our body during the day. When you think about it, is it any wonder that obesity is becoming such a huge issue in Australia? and the developing world?
Participating in a routine of physical activity is critical to living a healthy lifestyle. The additional perks of exercise are that it can assist you in losing weight and improve your general health.
Don't let modern technology make you lazy and unhealthy. Your body was designed to be active. So start to MOVE your body.
The best way to start an exercise routine is to exercise in the morning. Morning exercise will wake up your body and energise it. Being active in the morning helps to increase your energy levels, clear your head and get your brain functioning. If that is not enough to convince you to get out of bed and get active, read on:
Exercising in the morning will:
-
Jump-start your metabolism and keep it elevated for hours. You will burn calories for several hours during the day, purely because you exercised in the morning.
-
Make you feel more alert and energized.
-
Make you feel good about yourself for the entire day, as you have stuck to a routine and done something good for your body.
-
Control your appetite for the day ahead. You will eat less during the day, as the exercise you have done in the morning has released endorphins, which decreases your appetite.
-
Result in less stress and anxiety.
-
Make you more productive at work, as your mind will be clear and focused.
-
Change your view on exercise. You will find yourself starting to look forward to working out every morning, as you are doing something that is really positive for your body, mind and soul. You will begin to think of exercise as a time to mentally unwind, to think without interruptions.
Did you know that over 80% of people who exercise regularly and routinely, do so first thing in the morning?
And lets be honest, after you have spend a long day at work or studying, other things will frequently take priority over exercise. Like sitting in front of the television....
GET ACTIVE and GET MOVING! You owe it to your body, your mind and your soul.
