Reformer Level 1 - Perth 10-13 November

In this course, you will learn an extensive repertoire of beginner to intermediate Reformer exercises. You will also learn about shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and elbow injuries. This course is a must to enable you to start working in a Pilates studio using the Reformers. You will learn how to take rehab clients as well as clients wanting to tone up and work hard, such as athletes.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn over 120 basic to intermediate Reformer exercises
  • Become familiar with the Reformer equipment
  • Learn about common peripheral injuries and how to create programs for injury rehabilitation
  • Learn about programming for injury rehabilitation (spinal and peripheral joints)
  • Learn how to cater towards different client levels and also push your clients hard, such as challenging athletes
  • Learn about pregnancy and small group classes
Course Format:
Online pre-course study combined with a 4 day practical course

CECs:
15 CECs through Fitness Australia
7.5 PDPs through ESSA Australia

Course Prerequisites:
To enrol in this course, you must have completed the Studio Pilates Matwork course or the Studio Pilates Bridging course if you have received your Matwork certification with a different body.

High speed internet (ADSL 2+ or Cable) as well as an up to date web browser to stream online video content.

Course Policies: Our Guarantee to You:
We will work with you until you feel confident to be the best instructor you can be. Once you have completed one of our courses, you will have ongoing support from our education team as well as access to our online training resources.

Cancellation Policy and Refunds:
Without exception, Studio Pilates does not offer refunds for change of mind or circumstances. If you decide to cancel your course due to change of mind or circumstance, you have the below options;
  • You can use your course credit to purchase home workout products or large equipment
  • You can use your course credit to enrol in another Studio Pilates course (please note that there is a 10% Course Transfer fee payable at the time of the course transfer. For more information, see Course Transfers below)
  • You can transfer your course to a family or friend who may wish to obtain their certification
  • You can reschedule your course to a later date (see Course Reschedules below)

Course Reschedules:
If you need to change your course date, you can do so 4 or more weeks prior to your course date without any charge. Any course reschedules occurring within 4 weeks of the course date will incur a 10% rescheduling fee payable in full at the time of the reschedule.

Course Transfers:
If you would like to transfer your course credit to a different Studio Pilates course, please note that there is a 10% Course Transfer fee payable at the time of the course transfer. If you would like to swap courses, please ensure that you have completed the required pre-requisites to enrol in the new course.

Video Submissions & Course Resits:
If you are not confident to instruct at the end of your course, your instructor trainer may give you one of a few different options. You can go home and practice your instructing and then submit a video of your instructing for $50 or alternatively you can chose to resit the last day of the course ONLY for a $50 fee, on this day you will resit the course assessment, the same as you did for your first course. In rare cares, if you need more practice and technical knowledge, you may need to resit the whole course again. See below for resit prices based on course;

Course Times:
Please be aware that the times on the website are a rough guide only as we work around the host location's group fitness timetable and these are subject to change. We will contact you 3 weeks prior to your course date to confirm the location and times, please allow from 8am-6pm each day until we confirm these with you.

Just so you know, you cannot miss any day of the course or arrive later/leave earlier as there is a lot of content to cover and we want to make sure you get the most out of the course and become an amazing and confident instructor!
