We understand that you are a fitness professional and you have a passion for helping your clients reach their goals through exercise. Becoming a Studio Pilates International certified instructor will enable you to help your clients tone up even more, learn more about using exercise for injury prevention and rehabilitation, gain the edge over your competitors and increase your profits.
Your Pilates training will complement and enhance your existing skills and enable you to either continue a career in personal training and fitness instruction or change your career to focus more on Pilates.
Studio Pilates International courses are designed by both physiotherapist and personal trainer Pilates Instructors, so there is a focus on both Pilates for fitness and also rehabilitation. Our program is the most in-depth Pilates course in Australia and the standard of the instructors who graduate from our course is exceptional. We will teach you all you need to know about the body (including injuries), the Pilates method, how to instruct and programme sessions to suit the client's goals and also how to accommodate different levels to effectively teach group classes. You may decide to learn just the matwork repertoire, or continue right through to become a fully certified studio instructor - the choice is yours.
Why choose us for your Pilates education?
The Studio Pilates International course is designed by a physiotherapist who has personally taken over 20 000 patients through Pilates workouts. Our aim is to get you ready to teach Pilates in the fitness environment straight away - so the course involves a lot of teaching practice to ensure you are confident to teach on completion of your course. Our matwork course is accredited with Fitness Australia and allocated 15 CEC points to help you meet your continuing education requirements.
The course is designed for fitness instructors and personal trainers, and taught by a physiotherapist, and is one of the most comprehensive Pilates courses worldwide. It combines traditional Pilates exercises that have been adapted according to the latest physiotherapy research. Throughout the courses, you will learn how to assess, prescribe and teach both matwork and equipment exercises in both the gym and studio setting. There is also the option to continue on through full Pilates certification to learn how to teach more advanced exercises and the full Pilates equipment repertoire too.
How do we differ from other Pilates courses?
We differ to traditional Pilates courses because we have tailored our course specifically for fitness trainers. The courses are designed by physios, but we still believe in giving a hard workout, makes our Pilates education ideal for the fitness industry. We take great pride in our instructors being of the highest quality and we do everything possible to ensure you will be one of the most popular instructors in your health club. The courses are highly practical with lots of teaching practice to ensure you are confident to teach straight away. Our manuals give a step by step description in detail about every exercise, how to prescribe it, teach it, and make corrections, and we also offer continuing education to keep your skills up to date.
