GETTING STARTED
What is the first class I attend as a new client at Studio Pilates International?
The Orientation Workout is every client's first class at Studio Pilates. Before joining our Reformer Workouts you must attend an Orientation Workout. This class will allow you to familiarize yourself with the Studio Pilates format, get comfortable with using the reformer, and learn our specific breathing and postural techniques for getting the most out of every class.
You will also enjoy your first Studio Pilates workout - with demonstrations and instruction via our unique digital delivery system, to complement the cues and personal modifications given by our expert instructors. You’ll leave the Orientation Workout having completed an intense, full body workout and feeling confident for your next class.
Is the Orientation Workout compulsory?
Yes, the Orientation Workout is compulsory for all clients new to Studio Pilates.
The Orientation Workout gives you a chance to see how a Studio Pilates class works and also helps us to understand how to best support you in achieving your goals. We take this opportunity to understand your personal strengths and any modifications or adjustments required to make your classes as safe and personalized as possible.
Do I have to complete an Orientation Workout each time I attend a new Studio Pilates location?
You only need to complete one Orientation Workout!
If you attend a new Studio Pilates location, let the new studio know which location you have completed your Orientation Workout. Once the studio has confirmed your previous Orientation Workout attendance, they will update your client account to reflect this and open your access to book in for Reformer Workouts.
Do you have an offer for new clients?
Yes! If you are new to Studio Pilates, the best way to get started is to purchase our Intro Offer: 6 Class Pass!
Do I have to use the Intro Offer: 6 Class Pass within a certain time frame?
The Intro Offer: 6 Class Pass has a 14-day expiry from the date of your first visit.
What should I wear/bring?
Every client must wear a pair of socks during all classes at Studio Pilates. You are free to bring your own socks, and Studio Pilates grip socks are also available to purchase in the studio. We recommend you wear comfortable workout clothes. Loose or baggy shorts may not offer the best coverage for certain exercises. You may also like to bring a water bottle and a sweat towel.
What is the minimum age to attend Studio Pilates?
The minimum age to attend Studio Pilates classes is 14 years old.
BOOKING YOUR CLASSES
How do I book a class?
The simplest way to manage your bookings is to download the Studio Pilates app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can also book via the Studio Pilates website by navigating to your preferred location on our ‘Find A Studio’ page.
I’m trying to book but it’s saying I haven’t met the prerequisite?
If you are trying to book a class for the first time, you will need to book in for an Orientation Workout. New clients will automatically be granted access to book Reformer Workouts once the Orientation Workout has been attended.
If you have completed an Orientation Workout at another Studio Pilates location, please ensure that you inform the team and they can assist you in overriding this once prior attendance has been confirmed.
Do you offer memberships?
We do not offer memberships here at Studio Pilates which means no lock-in contracts! You will only pay for the classes you attend and won’t have to worry about membership fees. We offer a variety of prepaid class pass options.
Are class passes transferable between studios?
Class passes are only valid at the location where they are purchased.
Do you have a cancellation or no show policy?
Studio Pilates has a 12-hour cancellation policy.
This means that if you cancel a pre-booked class prior to 12 hours before the class start time, the class is returned to your pass. No shows or cancellations made within 12 hours of the class start time will result in the forfeit of that class.
I’m pregnant, are Studio Pilates workouts suitable for me?
Pregnant clients can attend Orientation and Reformer Workouts up until week 14 of pregnancy. From 14 weeks onwards, you would need to attend Pre & Post Natal classes as our regular Reformer Workouts are no longer suitable.
Pre & Post Natal Classes are offered at select locations. These classes are specifically programmed for women to attend throughout their entire pregnancy. Please contact your local studio to inquire.
Can I bring a friend or family member?
Of course, the more the merrier! As all classes have a set capacity, your friend/family member will need to prebook their class to avoid disappointment - our classes fill up quickly!
