DIY Coffee Body Scrub

Protect your skin from free radicals, buff away dead skin cells, and restore glow with this easy DIY scrub.

Free radicals are unstable atoms that, over time, break down the body’s cells, causing ageing. High concentrations of free radicals can be found in polluted air, alcohol and processed food.

Coffee is packed with antioxidants and, when used on your skin, help to fight off free radicals.

All you need is coffee grounds and a few pantry staples:

  • 1 cup of ground coffee
  • 1 cup of sugar or salt (we recommend something fine like caster sugar or table salt, so that it’s not too abrasive on the skin)
  • 1/2 cup of oil (olive, almond – whatever you would like! If using coconut oil, melt first and allow to cool slightly before adding to the mix)
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract (optional)

Mix everything together and store in a jar or airtight container.

Use a couple of times a week for soft, radiant skin.

Bonus: this coffee scrub provides a great use for the masses of coffee grounds you usually throw away (and helps you clear out the jar draw too).

Tip: These little jars of goodness also make great gifts!
