We love podcasts. You can listen, learn, and grow while you’re getting ready in the morning, going for a jog, driving around, or even working. And there are a lot of options out there.  So we asked the Franchise team to share some of the best business podcasts they’ve been listening to lately, so you could press PLAY for practical advice, inspiration and motivation, or simply, joy.

 

TED Talks Business - Frankly, Ted Talks in any category make for hours of interesting listening, and this podcast presents the best of TED talks for business. Every Monday, host Modupe Akinola presents the most powerful and surprising ideas from global leaders and industry experts along with advice on how to apply the ideas in your own life.

 

The School of Greatness - Every Friday Lewis Howes offers concise five-minute episodes around the study of greatness, covering inspiration, business, entrepreneurship, health and relationships, and how you can apply it to your life.  With 500-plus episodes it’s a great podcast if you want to focus not just on being successful, but living a healthy and fulfilling life as well.

 

The Tim Ferriss Show - In his really popular podcast, Tim interviews innovators from a wide range of sectors, focusing on daily routines and processes while uncovering secrets to high performance. Well researched and insightful, episodes last anywhere from an hour to over three -  Tim and his guests just talk openly until they feel they've unearthed enough substance.

 

Happier with Gretchen Rubin - Gretchen Rubin’s book The Happiness Project spent two years on the bestseller list and her podcast has won a string of awards. The topics vary from parenting to eliminating clutter to time management but are all centered around making the life and work decisions that ultimately make you happier, healthier, more productive, and more creative. The podcast is full of tips to help achieve efficiency and minimize stress—perfect for busy business owners.

 

The EntreLeadership - Hosted by Ken Coleman, the EntreLeadership Podcast features lively discussions and tips on leadership and business by some of the top minds in the business, like Mark Cuban, Seth Godin, Jim Collins and Simon Sinek.

 

The Mentor with Mark Bouris; Mark Bouris speaks frankly to business owners and entrepreneurs, digging into their stories, finding out what makes them tick, discussing their challenges and plans for growth. Based on his own personal experiences and learnings, he also passes on his own guidance on how to take their business to the next level.

 

Start With Why - Simon Sinek is an unshakable optimist who believes in a bright future and our ability to build it together. He may be best known for popularizing the concept of WHY in his first TED Talk in 2009. It rose to become the third most watched on TED.com, with over 40 million views and subtitled in 47 languages.

How Success Happens -  How Success Happens with Robert Tuchman features some of today's brightest entrepreneurial minds talking about overcoming challenges and using them as learning experiences to create success.
