Ball, Circle & Band Course

The Studio Pilates Ball, Circle and Band Course is an incredibly versatile course which adds a massive variety to your classes and challenges your clients’ strength and stability. In this course, you benefit from an extensive repertoire of 107 beginner to intermediate exercises to really take your classes to the next level. This fun-filled course is a fantastic way to become certified on three different pieces of equipment in just 2 days and an essential course for all Pilates instructors to complete!

Please note that the ball featured in this course is the large Swiss ball (approx. 55cm in diameter). If you are interested in the small Pilates ball, please click here.

COURSE FORMAT

  • 20 hours of online pre-course study then
  • 2 day practical course (via Zoom)

WHY THIS COURSE

  • Add variety to your classes to keep your clients happy and challenged while also stopping yourself from getting bored!
  • The extra resistance of the small equipment increases the toning and weight loss effects of your classes
  • The small equipment provides a fun all over body workout – while many of the matwork exercises are core related (buttocks, pelvis, abdominals, back), the small equipment works both the core and peripheral muscles!
  • Cater more effectively to different levels in a class by adding or removing the equipment – this means that you can more effectively cater to both injured clients and strong clients who are wanting to work hard
  • Learn even more exercises to use during pregnancy
  • The swiss ball challenges balance and coordination which is great for elderly clients
  • The small equipment exercises are more functional – the exercises require complex movements which mimic real life movements

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Learn over 107 Ball, Circle and Band exercises
  • Practice performing and teaching each of these exercises
  • In-depth analysis of the choreography/movements and how to break them down for easier instruction
