The Platinum Instructing Course is the course which you complete if you want to work in one of Studio Pilates’ boutique reformer studios with our digital technology called “SP-TV”. The Platinum instructor training is broken down into two parts –
You not only receive access to Studio Pilates’ most exclusive and comprehensive training resources, but also benefit from the face to face course where you are able to consolidate your knowledge and practise your instructing in a practical environment. The aim of the Platinum instructor training is to empower Studio Pilates instructors with the knowledge and skills to become the world’s most elite and qualified Pilates instructors.
NOTE: the face to face component of this course may be 5 or 6 days depending on the course location and hours available at the venue. Please see the dates of the course that you are wanting to enrol in to check the duration.

PLATINUM INSTRUCTOR COURSE VS. FULL MATWORK AND REFORMER CERTIFICATION
You should complete your Platinum Certification course if your aim is to work in a Studio Pilates studio. If your main goal is to work in a gym or Pilates studio other than Studio Pilates, you should complete our Matwork and Reformer courses. At the end of your Platinum Certification, you will receive a Reformer Certificate but not a Matwork Certificate. If you require the full Matwork certification, you should consider completing the Studio Pilates Matwork course.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE PLATINUM COURSE?
After completing the Platinum Course, you are able to apply for instructing positions in Studio Pilates boutique studios around the world. To view studio locations, click here.
As a prerequisite to enrolling in this course, you –
General Prerequisites
- Must have completed or be enrolled in the Studio Pilates Anatomy Course or equivalent studies in anatomy and physiology
- It is recommended that you have attended at least 10 Platinum classes at your local Studio Pilates
- Because this course trains instructors to work in a Studio Pilates Platinum studio, you must currently live near to a Studio Pilates location in order to enrol in the course
Physical Prerequisites
- Be able to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, work with fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
- Be able to lift 10kg and be able to move/push equipment as needed
- Visual acuity required
- Be able to hear the audio cues for when the voiceover stops
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Not be more than 14 weeks pregnant at the face to face course
This course has been approved by a number of leading health and fitness bodies. If you are a member of any of the following health or fitness bodies, you are able to claim professional development points upon completion of this course.
- 15 CECs through Fitness Australia (AUS)*
- Health Practitioners – earn CPD hours through AHPRA (AUS) to maintain annual registration
* You must be a registered Group Exercise/ Gym Instructor in order to attain Fitness Australia CECs

- Online multiple choice exams
- Practical assessment at the course
- Practical assessment at the end of mentoring
