At the end of the course, you will have the skills to use Pilates with individual clients for both rehab and toning, and also take a Pilates matwork class in a large group setting.
Online Pre-Course Study (40 Hours)
The online study for this course involves performing sample matwork workouts, reading through your manual, watching practical exercise workshop videos (one video workshop for each of the 88 exercises included in the course), and watching videos on programming, muscle activation, the Pilates basics, common injuries, pregnancy, how to perform physical corrections and much more! We look at how to make them harder, how to make them easier, how to ensure the correct muscles are activating and how to modify each exercise for a range of injuries and pregnancy.
The course is extremely practical and you are actually practising your instructing for a vast majority of the course. Whether you complete the practical course fully online via Zoom or face to face, you will be split into small groups where you practise instructing your partner through the exercises and they practise instructing you. All while your course facilitator provides you with targeted and individual feedback.
Online Post-Course Study (10 Hours)
After completing the practical course, you will jump back online to complete a few final hours of online study from the comfort of home.
Whether you complete the practical course face to face or online via Zoom,Ā the course is still delivered in the exact same way.
