HOW ARE YOU USING YOUR PILATES TRAINING?

I am teaching full time as a Pilates Instructor in Brisbane.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR GREATEST CHALLENGE AS A PILATES INSTRUCTOR?

Being a full time instructor is very demanding and exhausting. I have found it challenging to find a balance between working hard and resting. It’s important to look after yourself!

WHAT IS THE ONE FITNESS OR HEALTH RELATED ITEM YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT RIGHT NOW?

Protein bars – I am always on the run and it’s important to have healthy snacks readily available.

WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL PILATES/EXERCISE PHILOSOPHY?

Take care of your body – you only get one.

WHAT SONG OR PLAYLIST IS KEEPING YOU AND YOUR CLIENTS MOTIVATED IN CLASS RIGHT NOW?

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE EXERCISE TO INSTRUCT RIGHT NOW AND WHY?

I am loving Side Planks – they are very challenging but such a great way to strengthen and tone the Obliques.

HOW DO YOU PRIORITISE OR FIND TIME FOR YOUR OWN PILATES PRACTICE?

I have certain days of the week where my teaching is quieter than others. I use those days to research Pilates inspiration, practice Pilates myself or go to other instructors’ classes. It’s very important to practice what you preach!

WHAT IS THE GREATEST TIP YOU COULD GIVE ANOTHER PILATES INSTRUCTOR?

Be confident and hardworking but most of all – passionate.

WHAT DOES THE REST OF THE YEAR HOLD IN STORE FOR YOU?
