How are you using your Pilates training?
Other than instructing at Studio Pilates studios, I use this new knowledge of my body in daily life and as a part of dance training.
What has been your greatest challenge as a Pilates instructor?
Accepting that things aren’t going to change overnight for a client. If they lack mind-body connection it will take time.
What is the one fitness or health related item you can’t live without right now?
Tumeric + my theraband!
What is your personal Pilates/exercise philosophy?
Everyone’s on their own path
What song or playlist is keeping you and your clients motivated in class right now?
All Night Long – love using that as a pun in class. But also Money Maker, especially during Glutes!
What is your favourite exercise to instruct right now and why?
Scooter! Everyone hates it but I love getting their mind pumped up and feeling that burn!
How do you prioritise or find time for your own Pilates practice?
Either before my day has started, after I’ve instructed, or at night before bed, there’s always time for Pilates if you make it!
What is the greatest tip you could give another Pilates instructor?
To find the approach to instructing that works best for you and always learn from your fellow colleagues.
What does the rest of the year hold in store for you?
Instructing, uni, and continue being an independent dancer too
